The law sets out minimum educational requirements, The total time required for training is 8 hours: 6 hours of instruction and 2 hours of range time.
Handgun: Revolver .38 caliber or larger (.357mag .44sp/mag etc.) Semi-Auto .380 caliber or larger (9mm, .40s&w, .45auto etc.)
Ammo: 50 rounds of factory ammunition! (NO RELOADS)
Range time: Shooting is outside (Dress appropriate) , Shooting is from a standing position (accommodations will be made for those with physical impairments) , Shooting distances are 9, 15, and 21 feet.
Class Deposit: Transferable/Non-Refundable Deposit required when registering for a class.
This is a very hands-on class with group participation. You can expect to have fun while you learn!
Don't have a firearm? No problem! We have a variety of handguns (semi-auto & revolvers) in our range program to choose from.

NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) Course:
The Range Safety Officer course consists of: Range Safety Officer's roles and responsibilities, range standard operating procedures, range inspection and range rules, firearm stoppages and malfunctions, and Range Safety Briefings which include emergency procedures. Candidates must also receive 90 percent or better on the written exam.
NRA Range Safety Officers must be 21 years of age or older.
Course cost: $100.00
Training materials are included with course. We will go to the range and observe live firing.
